The Marula Mine is situated in the Limpopo Province approximately 45 km from the town of Burgersfort, 120 km south east of Polokwane. The plant was commissioned in the first quarter of 2004 and is operated on behalf of Impala Platinum. The operation is designed to handle 2.8 million tons of ROM material a year. The facility operates on a four-shift structure, seven days a week, 365 days a year, with a total operational complement of 142 personnel, for the plant and laboratory. Scope of work covers ROM reception, crushing, screening, milling, flotation, thickening, filtration, product loading, sample preparation and fire assay analysis.
