In just under 16 years Minopex has grown into one of the world’s leading exponents in the outsourced operation and maintenance of minerals and metals processing plants. From just one employee in 1996, the company now boasts a workforce of over 2 000 at its operations in South Africa, Lesotho, Botswana, Moçambique and Tanzania.

Minopex is a sister company to DRA (Pty) Ltd, a leading mine engineering and consulting group, and part owned by Shanduka, a major black economic empowerment mining house. This pedigree enables the company to leverage high levels of expertise and experience across a range of mining operations in a broad spectrum of mining sectors from coal, chromite and iron ore to gold, diamonds and platinum and most minerals in between.
